A Third Place

Imagine this, 7 story tellers with full creative license, one space, one platform, one circle we gather round to indulge in the practice that raised us, one moment to share the practice that continues to shape us. Around the fire is an opportunity to honour the african tradition of storytelling, to honour our roots and take great joy in these things that live deep inside our souls. Dramatic, theatrical, a marriage of music and poetry, a one of a kind experience. Featured artists: Nyasha Munashe, Nicole Livett, Tadana Nakai, Hey Hey Preacher, Anesu In Studio, Hupenyu and Priv.
This event is a platform for experimental storytelling and creative expression, combining music and poetry in a theatrical setting and trusting the storytellers to lead the experience. We are letting ourselves be inspired by the act of sitting around a fire, sharing stories and wisdom with each other. This is how we learn. This is how we build community. This is how we build something that lasts.
